Iain Armitage Honors “Young Sheldon”’s Final Day of Filming and Looks Back at His First Day on Set

Iain Armitage is looking towards the future by taking a walk down memory lane.In a series of photos shared to his Instagram Stories, the Young Sheldon star, 15, revealed that The Big Bang Theory prequel had wrapped its last day of filming after CBS announced that the series would be concluding with its 7th and final season in November 2023.”Today was our last day of filming,” Armitage wrote after reposting the series’ producer Alex Reid’s photo of the set. “What a joy, honor and a privilege.”After his long and final day of filming, the actor didn’t leave before sharing a photo of the Warner Brothers studio lot at sunset in the subsequent slide. He captioned the post, “End of the day, driving [off] the lot for the last day of filming @youngsheldoncbs — I’ve loved it here at Warner Brothers.”

While paying tribute to his time on the hit series, the actor opened up about how he’s been impacted by the role after playing young Sheldon Cooper after all these years.”This is 8 yr old me getting ready to film the very first scene I did as Young Sheldon,” he wrote alongside a throwback photo of him holding a brief case on set. “@melissapeterman recently asked what I would go back and tell my younger self. Maybe I wouldn’t tell him anything and I would just let life unfold as it does, but I think he’d be so surprised and happy to see where we are now. I sure am.””I don’t think this kid could have anticipated what it would feel like to film our final scene all these years later,” he continued, concluding, “Thank you, amazing crew, past and present, and those who have been there the whole time. I love you all so much!”
