Love Island stars Meg and Dejon have opened up about their time in the villa following their brutal dumping just days before the final.
Another Love Island couple was dumped from the villa on Sunday evening (August 3), with just days to go until the final. There are now four couples remaining and in with a chance at winning the £50,000 jackpot as the series final airs on Monday, August 4.
Over the weekend, Meg and Dejon were dumped and left saying their goodbyes following a surprise twist which saw some familiar faces return. Former islanders returned to the villa and were tasked with choosing who was next to leave. It came following Meg and Dejon’s argument after the Knowing Me, Knowing You challenge.

Since Love Island returned to screens in June, fans have seen plenty of chaos and explosive rows. From Movie Night to the Grafties, viewers, and islanders, noticed a “clear divide”. Now, Meg and Dejon have opened up about their time in the villa.
Speaking on the disagreements she had within the villa, Meg said: “Since the talent show, I feel like it brought us together and I have no problem with those girls and wouldn’t speak badly about them. Being around people 24/7, we used to say you argue with your sisters at home and it’s the same with the girls in there.
“You can’t get on with everyone but we haven’t left on bad terms. They are great people, so funny in their own way and I can’t say a bad word about them.”
After making their relationship official, Meg said the real test is now where they will prove to everyone their relationship is true. She said: “Proving to everyone we are actually going to stay together. Spending time together and introducing one another to family and friends.”

Meg and Dejon have had their fair share of arguments on screen, with the latest being just prior to their dumping. Things remained tense during their date following revelations during the Knowing Me, Knowing You challenge.
Opening up on their exit, Dejon said he “wasn’t shocked” as he said: “I wasn’t shocked to leave because of the timing of mine and Meg’s argument that we had. I knew people might not like that, so I wasn’t shocked to leave, but I know what we have is real and in real relationships you have disagreements. I’m still grateful for our experience and I wouldn’t have changed it.”
Despite his exploring other connections during his time in the villa, Dejon went on to say: “Deep down in my heart, it was always Meg. She was always the one I wanted. Meg is the only girl I ever pulled for a chat.

“All the conversations with the other girls were either them pulling me for a chat or me being brought out on a date. My focus was always Meg, she was the person I saw serious potential with. I did speak to other girls, tried to be my normal self with them, but it was never as strong as the connection with Meg.”
Revealing what’s next for the pair, he admitted they would meet each other’s family before potentially moving in together as he said: “I can’t imagine not living with her.”
