P Diddy’s former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, has spoken out after he was found guilty of two charges. The disgraced rapper, whose real name is Sean Combs, had been on trial for a string of serious offences in a New York courthouse.
The rapper, 55, was charged with sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution. Diddy denied all charges made against him. Deliberations began on Monday, but things took an unexpected turn when the jury passed two notes to the presiding judge. Diddy was found guilty of transporting individuals including but not limited to Cassie Ventura to engage in prostitution and also transporting individuals including but not limited to Jane to engage in prostitution. He was found not guilty of the other three charges including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.
During the trial at the Federal District Court in Lower Manhattan, which began on May 5, the jury heard from 34 witnesses, including celebrities such as Kid Cudi and Cassie. During her testimony, Cassie spoke about the incident in which Diddy attacked her at a Los Angeles hotel in 2016.
She also told the court how Diddy had raped her, in the living room of her home. Now, following the news that he has been found guilty on two counts and acquitted of other charges, her lawyer has issued a statement: “This entire criminal process started when our client Cassie Ventura had the courage to file her civil complaint in November 2023.

“Although the jury did not find Combs guilty of sex trafficking Cassie beyond a reasonable doubt, she paved the way for a jury to find him guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution. By coming forward with her experience, Cassie has left an indelible mark on both the entertainment industry and the fight for justice. We must repeat – with no reservation – that we believe and support our client who showed exemplary courage throughout this trial. She displayed unquestionable strength and brought attention to the realities of powerful men in our orbit and the misconduct that has persisted for decades without repercussion. This case proved that change is long overdue, and we will continue to fight on behalf of survivors.”
After her testimony came to an end on May 17, Cassie’s lawyer, Doug Wigdor, released a statement on her behalf, admitting that her testimony had been “challenging.” It read: “This week has been extremely challenging, but also remarkably empowering and healing for me.

“For me, the more I heal, the more I can remember. And the more I can remember, the more I will never forget. I want to thank my family and my advocates for their unwavering support, and I’m grateful for all the kindness and encouragement that I have received.
“I’m glad to put this chapter of my life to rest. As I turn to focus on the conclusion of my pregnancy, I ask for privacy for me and for my growing family.”
