It’s George’s biggest hit yet! Clooney, 63, plays baseball in the park – as he shows off talent that could have seen him go pro as a teen

He tried to pursue a professional baseball career at the age of 16 before turning his hand to acting.
But it seems George Clooney has not lost his batting ability as he showed off his skills in New York City’s Central Park.
The Oscar-winning actor, 63, brought his Hollywood charm to the Broadway League Softball Game on Thursday.
He dressed casually for the match and wore a dark baseball cap, navy polo-shirt and grey shorts.

Clooney’s surprise appearance came just hours after he received his first Tony nomination for his debut Broadway role in Good Night, and Good Luck.
The actor attended trials for his hometown team Cincinnati Reds twice in 1977 but he failed to win a contract after he toppled backwards while trying to escape a fast-moving ball hurtling towards his head.
‘He throws an 82 mile an hour curveball at my head. I literally fell backwards, and the ball ended up on the outside part of the plate, and everybody laughed,’ Clooney said in December 2023.
‘I just lacked skill. I had everything else. I had a good hat, I had a good uniform. I just lacked the ability to play the game.’
